Ralston Instruments is an established manufacturer of industrial grade pressure calibration equipment based in Novelty Ohio. The family run business was founded in 1969 with the invention of two "Quick-test" pumps and they have been building on and innovating those original designs ever since. They needed a new system to help manage their intricate catalog of products and a new look to help present their product line to both new and old customers alike.
Around their product line, I modeled and built a custom CMS on top of the Blinky framework. Next I integrated their CMS into a new CodeIgniter installation to drive their public facing website. Finally I wrote and integrated a library to connect to Campaign Monitor’s public interfaces to power the new Ralston Instruments customer newsletter.
This was a Sprokets Project and I worked with Frantz ID and Right Click for Project Planning and Info Design, Minch Design, Dan Ott and Cloud City Digital for front end design and XHTML, Keyphrase Marketing for SEO, and Nontoxic Group for initial CMS design.
